Ukrainian forces destroy Russian S-300V worth 40 million dollars in Zaporizhzhia sector

Ukrainian defense forces in the Zaporizhzhia sector destroy Russian S-300V air defense system worth 40 million dollars. The strike is carried out by fighters of the special unit Lazar, part of the 27th Pechersk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the brigade's press service reports.
"This system was an important component of the enemy's air defense. Its elimination significantly reduced the enemy's ability to cover its positions and equipment from strikes by our forces. Along with the air defense system, thanks to accurate drops, two more pieces of equipment were neutralized and the entire ammunition load detonated," the statement said.
It is also known that the destruction of the system took place at a distance of more than 30 kilometers from the line of contact. The system was destroyed by a drone strike, while another drone nearby observed the process of hitting the S-300V.
What is S-300V
The S-300V Antey is the first Soviet mobile universal missile and anti-aircraft defense system. Unlike other types of mobile versions of the S-300, it is based on a tracked chassis. In addition, each S-300V launcher is capable of operating independently, and not only as part of a battery.
The S-300V is designed to defend important military facilities, troop formations, and administrative-industrial centers from strikes by all types of aircraft and helicopters, cruise missiles, other aerodynamic air attack weapons, aeroballistic and tactical ballistic missiles.
