Ukrainian forces destroy rare Russian Smerch-2 ship bomber in Lyman sector

Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Smerch-2 naval bomb in the forests in the Lyman sector, which the occupiers had installed on a Ural truck, according to the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops.
"Russian invaders installed a Smerch-2 shipboard bombardment system based on the Ural truck. However, Russians did not take into account one single point that you cannot hide from the pilots of the unmanned systems battalion and their large night drones," writes the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops.
Smerch-2
The Smerch-2 shipboard bomber is a Soviet anti-submarine warfare missile designed to engage submarines at medium and short ranges. It is a modernized version of the Smerch-1 system and uses unguided depth charges that are launched in salvo.
In the fall of 2023, the media reported that the Russian occupiers had installed a shipboard rocket launcher system on an armored multipurpose tractor MT-LB. In early 2024, a video was published showing the launch of shells from the Smerch-2, which was installed on the chassis of a T-80U tank.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost almost 852,000 troops. Also over the past day, February 10, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 13 Russian tanks, 31 armored combat vehicles, and 44 artillery systems.
