Ukrainian fighters destroyed the drone command post of the Russian elite unit Rubicon in Ukraine's Donetsk region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
"Combat operations of the Rocket Forces and Artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ongoing. Units of the Rocket Forces and Artillery, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck several important Russian targets," the General Staff reported.
Thus, recently, only in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region, the drone command post of the Russian unit Rubicon and a large ammunition depot of the Russian forces were destroyed.
The Rubicon unit was created only in August 2024, but it is already considered one of the most effective technological formations of the enemy.
In Rubicon, the selection of the most trained personnel, effective management, and unlimited funding are ensured. Currently, Russia is actively expanding this unit from several hundred to several thousand fighters to cover the entire front.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost approximately 1,074,320 military personnel.
In particular, over the past day, the losses of the Russian army amounted to 790 soldiers. Also, yesterday, Ukrainian fighters destroyed 4 tanks, 3 armored combat vehicles, 46 artillery systems, 1 MLRS, 318 drones, and other enemy equipment.
