Ukrainian forces cutting off Russian logistics on Bakhmut front, one route already under fire
The Ukrainian defense forces are working to disrupt the enemy's logistics on the Bakhmut front. One of the important roads is already being cut off by the Ukrainian military, as a spokesperson of the Eastern Group of Ukrainian Armed Forces Illia Yevlash says to Ukrainian TV.
"One of the roads we can already reach is the Bakhmut-Horlivka highway, which is located 3 km from the front line, within the effective range of our mortars and UAVs," he said.
Russian occupiers still have several other logistic routes to supply provisions to their group in Bakhmut, including routes leading from the occupied territory.
"However, we are continuing to cut off these routes now and will continue in the future to bleed the Russian group on this front and inflict maximum losses on them," Yevlash added.
Ukraine's counteroffensive
Since the summer, Ukrainian soldiers have been conducting offensive operations in eastern and southern Ukraine. Currently, active battles are taking place south of Bakhmut and in the Melitopol direction.
The most recently liberated settlements were Andriivka and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region. Previously, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had already gained control over the Bakhmut-Horlivka highway, which would provide more opportunities to eliminate the occupiers.
Today, Yevlash, reported on the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Klishchiivka area on the Bakhmut front.
