Currently, virtually all of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' technological weapons have AI elements. In particular, air defense systems, according to Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

Syrsky says structures have been created in the General Staff and other headquarters that deal with the application of artificial intelligence in the military sphere.

"We are already testing aerial platforms for medical evacuation — that's the future. Another priority for us is drones that work as interceptors to fight against enemy strike UAVs. And we have many impressive results achieved with our naval platforms. All of this is technological weaponry, weapons with artificial intelligence," Syrskyi says.

However, according to the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it should be taken into account that AI can make mistakes, as it is still in the early stages of development and use.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine wrote about the introduction of the DELTA combat system at all levels of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It contains elements of artificial intelligence, thanks to which it is possible to automatically detect enemy equipment online. In general, the system allows you to see the battlefield in real time, plan operations, and exchange information.

Ukraine and Denmark are developing an AI-powered drone interceptor. The new interception system is expected to be able to identify, track, and neutralize various types of enemy drones, from FPV drones and Mavic-type quadcopters to reconnaissance and long-range UAVs.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine that artificial intelligence will eventually allow drone operators to be removed from the battlefield.
