Ukrainian flag hung in Crimea: Defense Intelligence shows video of special operation
During a special operation, Ukrainian intelligence operatives landed on the territory of Crimea and raised the flag of Ukraine there, according to a statement from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR).
In the early hours of today, a GUR operation with the support of the Naval Forces took place in Crimea. Special units landed on the coast near the settlements of Olenivka and Mayak.
"While carrying out the mission, Ukrainian defenders engaged in a firefight with enemy units. As a result, the enemy suffered losses among personnel, and enemy equipment was destroyed. Once again, the national flag of Ukraine was raised in Ukrainian Crimea," the statement reads.
All objectives and tasks were completed. Ukrainian defenders left the scene without casualties after the completion of the special operation.
Additionally, the GUR adds that the occupant "administration" of Crimea has not commented on the events despite numerous inquiries from locals. Their only statement concerns the alleged "destruction of ammunition according to the established schedule."
The intelligence service also adds that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue to assist the invaders in destroying ammunition, equipment, and personnel.
GUR landing in Crimea
Today, the media reported that Ukrainian intelligence operatives landed in Crimea.
Around 5:00 AM, explosions were heard near Mayak on Cape Tarkhankut. Later, it became known that a battle occurred as part of a GUR special operation involving naval and aviation assets.
In response, the Russians began inventing their version of events, claiming a so-called "Ukrainian sabotage group" was allegedly spotted in Olenivka and "eliminated."
GUR representatives, commenting to RBC-Ukraine, noted that today's incursion had a raid-like character. It demonstrated that Crimea is within the operational reach of our fighters.
