Fighters from the Alpha Special Operations Center of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) carried out a successful “hunt” in Crimea. Drones struck three ships, radar stations, and logistics facilities belonging to the Russian army.

During an SBU operation in Crimea, three Russian military ships were struck simultaneously:

  • Russian Navy’s large landing ship Yamal;
  • Russian Navy’s large landing ship Azov;
  • A military ship of an unidentified type.

There is also information about the likely destruction of a Project 21980 Grachonok anti-sabotage boat.

Alpha drones also damaged the antenna block of the Delphin communication system, the MR-10M1 Mys-M1 radar, and fuel tanks at the Yugtorsan oil depot.

“The SBU is systematically and consistently destroying the enemy across the entire front line, including the temporarily occupied Crimea. The service’s soldiers are reducing the fleet’s combat capability, deliberately disrupting logistics, and depriving the enemy of the ability to fully use the peninsula as a military base,” the SBU noted.

Damage to Russian ships

In March, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a unique combat icebreaker belonging to Russia’s FSB in the Leningrad region.

The Russian frigate Admiral Essen also sustained critical damage during an attack by Ukrainian drones on the port of Novorossiysk. It can no longer fire Kalibr missiles at Ukraine.

In December 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine struck a tanker belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet in neutral waters of the Mediterranean Sea for the first time.
