Ukrainian defenders struck the Vtorovo oil pumping station in Russia’s Vladimir region during the night of Sunday, September 7, said Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"Fuel supply in Moscow is slightly disrupted, they say. The Vtorovo pumping station, Transneft (Penkino, Vladimir region, Russia) got a bit damaged," Madyar wrote.

He clarified that the strike was carried out by fighters from the 14th regiment of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.

"Gasoline is becoming a scarce liquid, while gas and oil are highly flammable," added the commander.

The Vtorovo pumping station is an intermediate pumping station belonging to the infrastructure of Transneft PJSC.

Vtorovo pumping station plays a key role in transporting petroleum products and is a crucial component of the North investment project, aimed at developing pipeline infrastructure to increase export capacity.

Recently, Ukrainian defenders also targeted the Russian Stalnoy Kon oil pipeline infrastructure.

The Ilsky oil refinery has also been targeted by Ukrainian forces.

Amid ongoing Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries, Russia is facing a fuel crisis. Authorities have imposed a complete ban on gasoline exports.
