Ukrainian forces have established fire control over one of the most important logistics routes of Russian troops in the south. It has significantly disrupted the supply of the enemy grouping, according to the 3rd Separate Special Purpose Regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave.

Destruction of equipment and fuel supply disruption

According to the military, UAV operators of the 3rd Special Operations Forces Regiment established aerial control over a section of the land route used by Russian forces traveling to temporarily occupied Crimea.

Strike drones are systematically destroying enemy equipment and disrupting logistics hubs along the key Melitopol-Chonhar route.

"As a result of the successful actions of our units, logistics related to supplying the Russian army and fuel deliveries to the peninsula have already been significantly complicated," the Special Operations Forces said.

Logistics crisis in occupied Crimea

The situation with supplying temporarily occupied Crimea has recently deteriorated, turning the peninsula into a frontline zone.

Due to regular Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries and fuel depots, strict restrictions and fuel ration coupons have been introduced on the peninsula.

According to experts, large-scale attacks by Ukraine's Defense Forces on fuel infrastructure have already led to Russian oil refining volumes falling to approximately the level seen during the 2009 crisis, while fuel sales limits have spread even to gas stations in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Moreover, drone units of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence established fire control over sections of the highway between temporarily occupied Berdiansk, Melitopol, and Dzhankoi, systematically destroying Russian fuel tankers and trucks deep in the rear.

As explained by the Ukrainian Navy, shifting the enemy's logistics burden to the land corridor has made it vulnerable, which will become a serious problem for ordinary Russians and illegal tourists unlawfully staying on the peninsula.

Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, emphasized that a complete fire blockade and the cutting of supply routes would force the Russian army to begin evacuating troops, while the first signs of its retreat would trigger a mass departure of illegally resettled Russian citizens.
