Ukrainian drones hit $100 million Russian radar 175 km from front line

Ukrainian forces struck Russia's Nebo-M mobile radar system near the Millerovo military airfield. A Ukrainian-made RAM-2X loitering munition was used in the attack, according to NAUDI.
Radar struck 175 km from the front line
The 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade Achilles, together with the 43rd Separate Artillery Brigade, struck Russia's Nebo-M mobile radar system. The target was located near the Millerovo military airfield.

For the attack, Ukrainian forces used a RAM-2X loitering munition manufactured by Ukrspecsystems, a member of NAUDI.
According to the military, the Russian system was struck approximately 175 km from the line of contact.
The estimated cost of the Nebo-M is around $100 million.
What targets can the Nebo-M detect?
The Russian radar system is designed to detect aerodynamic and ballistic targets at medium and high altitudes.
According to the 429th Brigade, the Nebo-M can detect aircraft at distances of up to 500–600 km. For ballistic targets, its stated detection range reaches 1,500 km.
According to the military, the Russian radar can detect low-observable aerial targets at distances ranging from 200 to 400 km.
Russian forces use the Millerovo military airfield, among other purposes, as a launch site for strike and decoy drones targeting Ukrainian regions.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine previously released information on 54 Russian companies that are part of or managed by the Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern of the state corporation Rostec. One-third of them are still not under sanctions by any country in the sanctions coalition.
