Ukraine identifies 54 Russian weapons plants, with 19 still untouched by sanctions

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine has published data on the War&Sanctions portal on 54 Russian companies that are part of or managed by the Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern (KRET), a concern of the state corporation Rostec. One-third of them are still not under sanctions by any country in the sanctions coalition, according to the War&Sanctions portal of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
What is known about Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern companies
Companies belonging to the Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern specialize in the development and production of electronic warfare systems and equipment, state identification friend-or-foe systems, as well as airborne electronic equipment for Russian fighter jets and helicopters.
Their product range also includes electric motors, navigation and control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles, counter-drone systems, and platforms for remotely controlling machine guns.
The Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern also plays an important role in the production of Russian ballistic missiles. In particular, the Stavropol Signal Plant manufactures and supplies sets of S200A1 compact jamming stations for 9M723 Iskander-M missiles. The Kaluga Research Radio Engineering Institute supplies components of 3B228 electronic protection systems for 3M22 Zircon missiles.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine also emphasized that the parent organization, Joint Stock Company Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern, directly covers funding shortfalls under contracts for Russia's state defense order carried out by the concern's companies.
How many companies are not under sanctions
The intelligence agency noted that 19 of the 54 Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern companies disclosed are currently not under sanctions by any country in the sanctions coalition. Among them is Joint Stock Company Inertial Technologies of Technocomplex, which manufactures and supplies strapdown inertial navigation systems for Kh-59M2 and Kh-59M2A guided air-launched missiles and Orion unmanned aerial systems.
The Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern has become the tenth Rostec holding company whose data has been published on the War&Sanctions portal in the Aggressor's Military-Industrial Complex section. The relevant section contains information on 764 companies belonging to the corporation.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine systematically publishes data on companies involved in the production of Russian weapons. Intelligence representative Vadym Skibitskyi said that in September alone, Russia's defense industry plans to produce at least 100 ballistic missiles, including Iskander missiles and S-400 missiles.
According to him, disrupting production at specialized plants and strengthening sanctions on Western electronic components remain among the key tools for countering this threat.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine previously warned that Russia is preparing to test a new type of ballistic missile with a range of up to 800 kilometers, which could be used against targets in Ukraine's western regions by the end of the year.
