Ukraine's Special Operations Forces have carried out a precise strike on a warehouse storing Shahed drones in the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk, according to the statement.
On the evening of November 5, units of the Special Operations Forces targeted a base used for the storage, assembly, and launch of Shahed-type drones in temporarily occupied Donetsk.
The Russian military infrastructure was located on the territory of the former international airport.
According to the military, more than 90 percent of the drones launched by the Special Operations Forces successfully hit their targets.
"A powerful explosion and subsequent detonation were captured on video by numerous eyewitnesses. This was a joint operation involving the Special Operations Forces, the Forces of Unmanned Systems, and Rocket Forces and Artillery," the military added.
The Special Operations Forces emphasized that they will continue conducting asymmetric operations to halt Russia's military aggression.
Situation on the front
Yesterday, Ukraine's Air Force, missile troops, and artillery units struck two areas where Russian personnel, weapons, and equipment were concentrated. One enemy artillery system was also destroyed.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troop losses exceeded 1,000 personnel. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed six armored vehicles, 15 artillery systems, 172 tactical-level drones, 84 vehicles, and one piece of special equipment.
It is also worth noting that the Freedom of Russia Legion carried out a series of sabotage operations inside the aggressor state, destroying dozens of locomotives used to transport weapons and ammunition for the war against Ukraine.
