Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Madyar reacted to the nighttime attack by Ukrainian drones on the oil terminal in St. Petersburg.
What Madyar wrote
In his post, he published a photo of a drone that probably attacked St. Petersburg this night.
“They came in without knocking, under the cover of white nights. Close the window…,” the commander wrote.
He also clarified the details: the St. Petersburg oil terminal became the 20th facility of this type hit over the past 33 days, from May 1 to June 3. The strike was carried out as a joint operation by the Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, the SBU, and the HUR.

Details of the attack
The strike on the oil terminal took place on the night of June 3 — less than a day before the opening of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, where Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin was scheduled to speak. The terminal is located about 17 km from the forum venue.
Due to the attack, dozens of flights were delayed at Pulkovo airport.
A large-scale fire broke out, with oil tanks burning. St. Petersburg Oil Terminal is the largest oil refining complex in northwestern Russia, with a throughput capacity of 12.5 million tons per year.
Zelenskyy also confirmed strikes on Kronstadt and Tambov and emphasized that all three facilities are linked to financing or supplying the Russian military machine.
