Ukrainian defense tactics become more flexible, German general says
The current situation at the front in Ukraine is quite tense. However, Ukrainian forces are demonstrating steady and stable defense, according to Christian Freuding, coordinator of military assistance to Ukraine at the German Ministry of Defense.
He notes that the Russian occupation forces have now seized the initiative on land and in the air, but Ukrainian forces are demonstrating steady and stable defense.
At the same time, Freuding notes that in recent weeks and months, the defense tactics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have become more flexible, and the defense is more mobile.
He says this means that the Ukrainian army is ready to give up some space on a limited scale to preserve its forces and prepare for defense.
At the same time, according to the German general, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are keeping the situation under control even during the withdrawal, which is being carried out in a very orderly manner.
