Russian losses in the war in Ukraine as of Thursday morning, March 28, amount to 780 occupiers, with the total number of losses in the Russian army since the invasion beginning at 439,970 military personnel. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed 56 enemy vehicles and 32 artillery systems, according to the Strategic Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to March 28, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: approximately 439,970 (+780) individuals eliminated.
  • Tanks: 6,914 (+10) units.
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 13,237 (+21) units.
  • Artillery systems: 10,963 (+32) units.
  • MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems): 1,021 (+2) units.
  • Anti aircraft warfare systems: 729 (+1) units.
  • Aircraft: 347 units.
  • Helicopters: 325 units.
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 8,590 (+22) units.
  • Cruise missiles: 2,017 (+2) units.
  • Warships/boats: 26 units.
  • Submarines: 1 unit.
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 14,595 (+56) units.
  • Special equipment: 1,800 (+6) units.

Frontline situation

According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russian forces are advancing in the area of Ivanivka and are within 500 meters of the boundary of Chasiv Yar city (west of Bakhmut).

There were 60 combat engagements on the frontline in Ukraine during the past day. Missile forces struck two areas of enemy personnel concentration.
