Ukrainian Defense Minister on French Mirage 2000: They will be equipped to give us advantage over Russia

Mirage 2000 fighter jets, which France will deliver in early 2025, will be equipped to give Ukraine air superiority over Russia, stated Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
According to Umerov, today he met with French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
"We discussed which platforms will be delivered, modernization, pilot training, infrastructure, and avionics. In this regard, France will be assisting us," the Defense Minister said.
Additionally, the ministers discussed what other assistance France could provide to Ukraine after the Mirage 2000 fighter jets.
"We are on schedule. I hope we will have them soon. These jets will be equipped to give us an advantage (over the enemy - ed.)," Umerov noted.
Ukraine to receive Mirage 2000 fighter jets from France
In early June, French President Emmanuel Macron announced plans to transfer Mirage 2000 fighter jets to Ukraine as part of military aid.
Recently, it was reported that France would deliver Mirage 2000 jets to Ukraine, which will be equipped with new systems before the transfer. The modernized jets are expected to be ready for delivery in the first half of 2025.
