Ukrainian Defense Minister arrives in South Korea for talks on North Korea and weapons - Yonhap
A Ukrainian delegation led by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov arrives in South Korea. The talks will focus on North Korea's participation in the war and military assistance to Ukraine, Yonhap reports.
The Ukrainian delegation arrived in South Korea on Wednesday, November 27.
Today, President Yoon Suk Yeol is expected to meet with the Ukrainian delegation led by Defense Minister Umerov. Later, he is also scheduled to hold talks with South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun.
According to Yonhap, Umerov will share intelligence on the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia and discuss South Korea's military support for Ukraine.
The visit comes about a month after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans to send a delegation to Seoul during a phone conversation with the South Korean leader.

North Korea sent troops to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine. According to media reports, Moscow gave Pyongyang a million barrels of oil and some weapons in exchange for troops.
Ukraine also notes that North Korea asks Russia for technology, including in the military sphere.
After sending North Korean soldiers to Russia, South Korea said it might consider transferring weapons to Ukraine. However, no decision was made.
