Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down three Russian aircraft
Yesterday, February 17, it became known that the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed three Russian aircraft - two Su-34 fighter-bombers and one Su-35 fighter.
This occurred in eastern Ukraine. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrskyi, the fighters were shot down during an attempt by the enemy to strike our troops' positions with guided bombs.
At the same time, the Russians attempted to conceal the losses and claimed that only one aircraft was shot down, and there were supposedly no losses. Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat noted that the pilots of the Russian Su-34 and Su-35 attempted to eject, but their fate is currently unknown.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russians have lost at least 335 aircraft and 325 helicopters.
