Russian losses in the war in Ukraine as of Sunday morning, February 18, amounted to 1,080 occupiers, with the total number of Russian army losses since the start of the invasion totaling 402,430 soldiers. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 53 armored vehicles and 40 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to February 18, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: approximately 402,430 (+1,080) individuals eliminated.
  • Tanks: 6,487 (+11) units.
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 12,198 (+53) units.
  • Artillery systems: 9,709 (+40) units.
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 984 units.
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 674 (+3) units.
  • Aircraft: 335 (+3) units.
  • Helicopters: 325 units.
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 7,449(+36) units.
  • Cruise missiles: 1,898 (+2) units.
  • Warships/boats: 25 units.
  • Submarines: 1 unit.
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 12,736 (+2) units.
  • Special equipment: 1,540 (+7) units.

Frontline situation

In Ukraine, there have been 82 combat clashes on the front line over the past day. The defense forces continue to hold positions in the Kherson direction.

At the same time, the report from the Institute for the Study of War states that Russian forces have likely temporarily gained local air superiority and have been able to provide direct air support to ground forces in the Avdiivka area.
