Ukrainian cuisine's latest hit: Potato pancake cake recipe

Potato pancake cake is a simple way to turn ordinary potato pancakes into an exquisite dish. Both adults and children will enjoy it, says Ukrainian chef Ivan Yaniuk.
Potato pancake cake
Ingredients:
- Potatoes – 1 kg
- Flour – 2 tbsp
- Eggs – 1 pc.
- Salt, pepper – to taste
- Hunter sausages – 150 g
- Smoked brisket – 150 g
- Hard cheese – 150 g
- Sour cream – 150 g
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Green onions for serving
Instructions:
Grate the potatoes, add flour, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly.
Pour oil into a heated pan and fry potato pancakes of the same size so that you can form them into a cake later.

Slice the sausages and fry them in a pan. Cut the brisket into thin strips and fry as well.
Grate the cheese beforehand. To assemble the cake, place sausages with brisket on a layer of potato pancake, add cheese, then another pancake and filling.

Place the cake in the oven and bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
For the sauce, add finely chopped garlic to the sour cream. Spread the sauce over the cake and sprinkle with green onions.
