Last month, the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces set a new record by intercepting nearly one thousand Russian drones.

"Some kind of paranormal phenomenon is happening with Russian drones in the Lyman area. They are crashing en masse before reaching their targets," the military said.

However, the brigade's electronic warfare unit noted that last month, they once again broke their record for intercepted Russian drones.

"Almost 1,000 drones. Unfortunately, this is not a sign of good news — Russia is constantly increasing the number of drones," the soldiers commented.

Russian losses in the Ukraine war

Over the last 24 hours, from July 4 to July 5, Russian forces lost more than a thousand soldiers on the front line. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 56 artillery systems, 306 drones, and 149 vehicles.

Since the full-scale invasion began, the Russian losses have exceeded 1.025 million personnel.

Notably, Russian drones are now also being countered by interceptor drones.

Specifically, on July 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian interceptor drones successfully shot down dozens of Russian Shahed drones during a large-scale nighttime Russian attack.

A day earlier, Zelenskyy announced plans to produce hundreds of thousands of interceptor drones.

According to Yurii Ihnat, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Forces, interceptor drones have already shot down well over a hundred Shaheds.
