Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 5: +1,050 troops and 56 artillery systems

Over the past day, from July 4 to 5, Russian occupying forces lost 1,050 soldiers and 214 units of military equipment on the front line, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to July 5, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel – about 1,025,260 (+1,050) people wounded/killed;
- tanks – 10,990 (+2);
- troop-carrying AFVs – 22,953 (+7);
- artillery systems – 29,921 (+56);
- MLRS – 1,428;
- anti-aircraft systems – 1,191;
- aircraft – 420;
- helicopters – 340;
- UAV operational-tactical level – 43,609 (+306);
- cruise missiles – 3,439 (+3);
- warships/boats – 28;
- submarines – 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks – 53,148 (+149);
- special equipment – 3,925.
Russian airstrikes
On the night of July 5, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones.
Explosions were heard in Kyiv, and air defense systems engaged the enemy drones.
In addition, the Russians struck Kupiansk and Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region. Civilians were injured, including a child.
