Ukrainian border guards showcase preparations for Russian offensive on Kharkiv front
Ukrainian border guards were preparing for the Russian offensive in the Kharkiv direction. In particular, they actively attacked targets near Vovchansk, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"On May 10, the Russian army launched an offensive in the Kharkiv region near Vovchansk. Ukrainian border guards were expecting a Russian attack in their defense line," the report says.
In particular, the Ukrainian soldiers were actively conducting preventive strikes on targets in the Volchansk direction.
"Border guards of the Hart and Steel Border detachments were working, in particular, with 120-mm mortars and a Vampire attack drone (also known as Baba Yaga)," the SBGSU adds.
Situation at front
Russians continue to advance in the Kharkiv direction. At the same time, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are destroying the Russian occupiers in the Kharkiv region and the results are tangible.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the advance of the Russian occupiers in the Kharkiv region, where Russia is likely to send African mercenaries to attack.
Meanwhile, the Russian invaders are advancing in the area of Kreminna and Chasiv Yar.
