Ukrainian border guards destroy Russian positions with drones
Ukrainian border guards struck Russian positions in the north of Ukraine with drones. In particular, Russia's D-30 artillery system was destroyed, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
During the strikes, the following Ukrainian border guards hit:
- Russian positions;
- Russian checkpoint
- Russian observation post;
- Russian point of permanent deployment of personnel.
"The Russian D-30 artillery system was also damaged," the SBGS wrote.
D-30
The D-30 is a Soviet 122-mm howitzer developed in the late 1950s. It was adopted by the USSR in the early 1960s and is still used in many countries around the world.
It is used to attack manpower, fortifications, and vehicles at a distance of up to 20 kilometers, as well as to create smoke screens.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has already lost more than 556 thousand personnel. Yesterday, on July 11, during the day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,030 Russian troops and:
- 9 tanks;
- 23 armored combat vehicles;
- 48 artillery systems.
Ukrainian border guards have also recently demonstrated a series of FPV drone strikes on Russian positions in the Siversk sector.
