Ukrainian forces are effectively neutralizing a Russian marine unit that was redeployed for offensive operations in the Dobropillia area, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported.

The Commander-in-Chief made another working trip to the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia directions, where the situation requires constant attention.

According to him, at the command post of one of the army corps he met with commanders to:

  • discuss the specifics of the operational situation,

  • hear proposals from officers on the ground regarding options for further active actions aimed at defeating the enemy grouping.

"We are finding effective ways to neutralize the Russian marine units that the hostile command redeployed to continue offensive actions in the Dobropillia area," he said.

During the meeting, Syrskyi also gave the necessary instructions to provide our units with ammunition, drones, and electronic warfare equipment.

"Warriors of the Armed Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine are with dignity holding back the enemy's pressure and restoring control over the territory of Ukrainian Donetsk region. In turn, the task of commanders in their areas of responsibility is to use available resources as efficiently as possible and preserve personnel," he summarized.

Situation at the front

During the past day in the Pokrovsk direction, fighters stopped 60 offensive actions of the aggressor.

The enemy tried to attack in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Volodymyrivka, Mykolaivka, Molodetske, Novoukrainka, Promin, Nykanorivka, Mayak, Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Dachne, Filiia, and in the direction of Pokrovsk itself.

During the past day Russian troops lost nearly 900 personnel.

At the same time, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a tank, two armored vehicles, 40 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, 273 tactical-level UAVs, and 64 units of enemy automotive equipment.
