Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 12: +890 troops and 40 artillery systems

Over the past 24 hours, from September 11 to 12, Russian forces lost another 890 soldiers at the front. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 40 enemy artillery systems and 64 military vehicles, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 12, 2025, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - approximately 1,092,780 (+890) Russian troops were eliminated;
- Tanks - 11,177 (+1);
- Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,266 (+2);
- Artillery systems - 32,668 (+40);
- MLRS - 1,485 (+2);
- Anti-aircraft systems - 1,217;
- Aircraft - 422;
- Helicopters - 341;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 58,467 (+273);
- Cruise missiles - 3,718;
- Warships/boats - 28;
- Submarines - 1;
- Vehicles and fuel tanks - 61,403 (+64;
- Special equipment - 3,964.
Frontline situation
As of the evening of September 12, 141 combat clashes were recorded at the front. The most active frontline areas, where the largest number of battles took place, were Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Novopavlivka.
In particular, in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attempted 32 times to push back Ukrainian units. Activity was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Luch, Nikanorivka, Mayak, Novoeconomichne, Rodynske, Myroliubivka, Lisivka, Zverevo, Kotlino, Udachne, Murashka, Dachne, Filial, and toward the settlement of Pokrovsk.
