The destruction of the Russian large amphibious assault ship Tsezar Kunikov near Crimea confirms that the enemy cannot sail through Ukrainian territorial waters with impunity, according to Oleksandr Pavliuk, commander of the Land Forces Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The new commander emphasizes that the main goal and task of the Ukrainian Defense Forces is the full restoration of territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders.

"The destruction of the Russian Tsezar Kunikov submarine by the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine is another confirmation that the enemy cannot sail through Ukrainian territorial waters with impunity," Pavliuk says.

Russian military combat vessel destruction

This morning explosions were heard near Alupka in temporarily occupied Crimea. The Russians took their helicopters into the air, and footage of smoke in the sea was shared online. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense traditionally claimed that the drone attack was allegedly repelled.

Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that a large Russian landing ship, the Tsezar Kunikov, was destroyed off the coast of the temporarily occupied Crimea. At the time of the attack, the ship was in the territorial waters of Ukraine near Alupka.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine showed a video of the sinking of the Russian landing ship and noted that it was attacked by Magura V5 marine drones.
