In the Black Sea in the morning, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the Russian large landing ship Tsezar Kunikov, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with units of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, destroyed a large occupation landing ship, the Tsezar Kunikov," the statement says.

At the time of the attack, the ship was in the territorial waters of Ukraine near Alupka.

Background

In the morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on an allegedly "repelled" drone attack. According to the enemy agency, a total of nine "Ukrainian" drones were allegedly intercepted and destroyed.

Of these, two were over Belgorod, one over Voronezh, and six over the Black Sea.

Later, information spread on social media that a Russian large amphibious assault ship had been attacked in the Black Sea. Thus, the explosions in Crimea began after 6:00 a.m. near Alupka. Locals claim that an alarm sounded on the ship, after which explosions began. Detonations were heard, and thick smoke was seen billowing from the site. Relevant footage of smoke in the sea was shared online.

Local Telegram channels wrote that after the attack on Crimea, the Russian landing ship went down.
