Ukrainian Armed Forces improve defense and tactical position near Kupiansk - General Staff

Since the beginning of the day, 28 combat engagements have erupted on the front lines in Ukraine, with battles raging on all fronts, including in the Kharkiv region, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kharkiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled an enemy attack towards Murom-Starytsia. Ukrainian units are exerting maximum effort to strengthen defensive positions.
The General Staff says that over the past day, the enemy lost over 180 personnel, along with 54 pieces of equipment and military vehicles, and one ammunition depot in the northern part of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, invaders attempted four times to advance in the areas of Stelmakhivka and Hrekivka. One assault was repelled, while three were ongoing as of 10:00 AM. The situation, according to the General Staff, is under control near Kupiansk. Russians suffered over 100 casualties during the day.
"Our defenders are taking measures to reinforce positions on the front line and are conducting tactical maneuvers to improve the situation on certain fronts," the report says.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled an attack near the village of Terny, while fighting continues near Klishchiivka in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attempted four times to breach the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Two attacks were repelled, with fighting ongoing near Sokol.
In the Krasnohorivka and Vodiane areas of the Kurakhove direction, two battles are ongoing. In the Vremivka direction, an attack near Staromayorsk was successfully repelled.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, there were two attempts by occupiers to dislodge Ukrainian soldiers from positions near Krynky. One attack was repelled.
Russian offensive
As predicted by Ukrainian intelligence, Russian occupiers have intensified their offensive in eastern Ukraine. Invaders are attempting to advance in the Avdiivka area and have also become more active on the Bakhmut direction.
Russians are trying to breach the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Chasiv Yar and capture the city, which would open the way for them to the Kramatorsk agglomeration.
