Ukrainian Air Force discusses specifics of today's Russian attack on Ukraine
During today's Russian attack on Ukraine, enemy cruise missiles were flying at very low altitudes. This makes them difficult to shoot down by air defense forces and can lead to dire consequences, according to a representative of Ukrainian Air Force Yurii Ihnat.
Ihnat noted that Russia constantly improves not only reconnaissance and strike drones but also cruise and ballistic missiles. As a result, they are becoming harder to detect and destroy.
According to him, enemy missiles are equipped with additional measures, including radar and thermal decoys.
"During today's strike, cruise missiles were flying at very low altitudes, with engagements sometimes occurring as low as fifty meters, which, of course, can lead to devastating consequences on the ground. So, do not ignore alerts, especially when the movement of missiles or drones in your direction is known," emphasized Ihnat.
