Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy 417 Russian invaders and over 220 drones on Tavria front
Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 417 occupants and over 220 drones in the Tavria direction (Vitalii Nosach, RBC-Ukraine)
Over the past day, February 8, Ukrainian troops destroyed 417 Russian invaders in the Tavria direction and neutralized 224 UAVs of various types, according to the joint press center of the Tavria Defense Forces.
During the day, the enemy:
- conducted 20 air strikes;
- conducted 43 combat engagements;
- made 752 artillery attacks.
Avdiivka direction
Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 19 enemy attacks near Avdiivka and another 7 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region over the past day.
Maryinka direction
The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where they repelled 16 attacks.
Shakhtarsk direction
The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions.
Zaporizhzhia direction
Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled an attack by the occupiers west of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region.
Achievements of Ukrainian soldiers
Enemy losses in manpower in the sector amounted to 417 Russian invaders. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 35 units of enemy equipment, including:
- 12 armored personnel carriers;
- 11 artillery systems;
- 8 vehicles;
- 3 units of special equipment.
"Ukrainian Defense Forces also destroyed 2 enemy ammunition depots. 224 UAVs of various types were neutralized or destroyed," the press service adds.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, February 8, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated another 910 Russian occupants. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost 393,290 soldiers.
