Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief analyzes frontline situation
Despite heavy losses, Russians continue to rush towards Pokrovsk. Active combat operations of varying intensity are taking place along the entire front line, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
According to Syrskyi, he is currently working in the hottest areas of the Eastern Front.
Despite heavy losses, Russians continue to rush towards Pokrovsk. Fierce fighting continues in Krasnohorivka, in the areas of Prohres, Zalizne, Pivnichne, and Chasiv Yar.
In particular, Russia continues to try to occupy Stelmakhivka and Makiivka, as well as attacking the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in Ivanivske and Klishchiivka.
“Active combat actions of varying intensity are taking place along the entire frontline,” adds the Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief.
To stop Russia's offensive, according to Syrskyi, Ukraine needs:
- effective defeat of Russian forces and their reserves on the far approaches;
- comprehensive defeat of Russian troops in front of the front line;
- steady retention of the prepared engineering borders and positions, especially combat drones;
- maximizing the effective use of all weapons and ammunition capabilities;
- mastering new ways to destroy Russian reconnaissance UAVs in the face of a total shortage of short-range anti-aircraft missiles.
“Training of headquarters at all levels is important to maximize the combat capabilities of the troops and minimize our losses. Therefore, this time I also checked the progress of preparing the reserves for participation in combat operations,” he adds.
According to Syrskyi, the training is being conducted as close as possible to a real combat situation, using drones to simulate Russian actions.
Syrsky also met with each brigade commander who was leading the defense in the areas of the main Russian actions. They raised issues related to improving the effectiveness of our actions, replenishing losses, providing ammunition, and other issues.
