Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 pilot dies during combat mission in Zaporizhzhia direction

Ukrainian pilot Oleksandr Borovyk was killed during a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade reported.
"With sorrow we inform that on September 11, 2025, at about 13:30, in the Zaporizhzhia direction, during the performance of a combat mission on a Su-27 aircraft, our comrade — pilot of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade, Major Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Borovyk — was killed," the brigade's statement said.
The pilot was 30 years old. The brigade expressed sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the fallen defender.
The military did not disclose further details about the death of the Ukrainian defender.
Death of Serhii Bondar
On August 23, it became known that Ukrainian pilot Serhii Bondar, who was flying a MiG-29 fighter, had died. This happened during the landing approach.
The warrior tried to land his aircraft after completing a combat mission.
The Air Force reported that the causes and circumstances of the tragedy are being clarified.
Bondar was a pilot of the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade Ghost of Kyiv.
