During the Russian missile attack on Ukraine on the morning of February 7, about 20 missiles were shot down near Kyiv. The air alert in the capital lasted for almost three hours, according to Kyiv City Military Administration.

"The third missile attack on Kyiv in 2024. The enemy used Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the territory of the Russian Federation," the statement says.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the missiles hit the capital in several waves from different directions. About two dozen enemy missiles were shot down by Ukrainian Air Defense Forces and means over Kyiv and the region.
