Ukraine wants to oust Russia from arms market in Global South after victory
After victory, Ukrainian manufacturers will share their experience of transitioning from Soviet-style weaponry to NATO-standard arms, allowing the Global South to break free from dependence on Russian weapons, according to the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

In Washington, the Defense Industry Conference DFNC1: US Edition is currently underway. Its aim is to ensure the highest level of collaboration between defense industry enterprises in Ukraine and the United States. On the first day of the event, a memorandum was signed with the U.S. Department of Defense on cooperation in joint production and the exchange of technical data.
"Ukraine is the only country in the world fighting a full-scale war against an enemy with a powerful industry. For us, survival means creating a military industry that matches the scale of the enemy's industrial capabilities," said Ukrainian Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.
Ukraine plans to push Russia out of the arms market in the Global South
The Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kamyshin, said that Ukraine offers its partners the opportunity to view our defense industry as a chance to rapidly expand production capacities, improve their products, and ensure their effectiveness in real combat conditions.
"The opportunity to open up new markets - aside from replenishing NATO arsenals, after our victory, Ukrainian manufacturers with experience transitioning from Soviet-style weapons to NATO-standard arms can pass on this experience to Global South countries currently dependent on arms supplies from Russia," added Kamyshin.
Visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the USA
A Ukrainian delegation led by the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, and Rustem Umierov arrived in the USA and held meetings with legislators, government officials, and businesses in the States.
In particular, the Pentagon announced closed-door negotiations between Umerov and Lloyd Austin.
Yesterday, on December 6, a new defense industry forum took place in Washington. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited U.S. defense companies to collaborate with Ukraine.
