Ukraine, US, Russia wrap up today's talks in Abu Dhabi

Negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia in Abu Dhabi have concluded, according to Umerov’s spokesperson Diana Davitian.
According to Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing Ukrainian officials, the talks were held in a “positive” and “constructive” manner.
The sides agreed to hold another round of negotiations in Abu Dhabi as early as next week, he added.
What was discussed
Today, January 24, the second day of negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia on a peace plan began. The meetings were held in various formats. The key topics included the creation of buffer zones and control mechanisms.
The negotiations took place behind closed doors, so details of the agreements are not being disclosed at this time.
Negotiations in Abu Dhabi
Yesterday, January 23, negotiations involving delegations from Ukraine, Russia, and the United States began in Abu Dhabi. The Ukrainian side is headed by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the key topic of the meeting would be the territorial issue, meaning Donbas.
Ahead of the talks, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian side considers the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbas to be one of the important conditions.
Also, before the meeting began, Zelenskyy held consultations with the Ukrainian negotiating group. After the first day of talks concluded, Rustem Umerov reported certain details of the negotiations in Abu Dhabi.
