Zelenskyy said he had already spoken with Ukraine’s negotiating team that took part in the meeting with the Russian and US delegations.

"If the air raid siren is sounding now, it means that an agreement to end the war has not been reached," the President added.

He also recalled that a prisoner swap with Russia took place today, with 157 Ukrainian defenders returning home.

"I think the groups will meet again soon and discuss the issue, because there is a need to raise the question of further swaps. As for the next meeting, it will take place. It has been agreed that another meeting will happen in the near future," Zelenskyy said.

According to the President, "everything" was discussed during the talks in Abu Dhabi. Members of the Ukrainian delegation believe the information discussed is highly sensitive, so they will brief him on the details after returning to Kyiv.

Talks in Abu Dhabi

Earlier on Wednesday, February 5, the second round of talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia concluded in Abu Dhabi.

The main outcome of the dialogue was a new prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia. The swap took place after a four-month pause, during which Moscow had stalled the process.

According to Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, the talks were constructive. However, he did not disclose further details.

At the same time, Russian media reported that Russia issued a new ultimatum during the negotiations, demanding that all countries involved in the talks recognize Donbas as Russian territory.
