Ukraine approached Russia with a proposal to extend and expand the ceasefire following the humanitarian mission in Oleshky. In response, it received bloody terror in Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region and a massive attack across the country, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin.

Massive Russian attack on Ukraine

Zelenskyy noted that Russia launches attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, cities, and villages every day.

"Tonight, there was another massive attack involving cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and hundreds of drones," the president said.

Zelenskyy recalled that an operation has been underway for a second day in the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. Russian forces dropped several aerial bombs on the settlement.

"One strike alone killed 33 people, five were rescued, and more than 50 others may still be trapped under the rubble. It was a horrific strike, one of the largest Russian mass killings of this war," he said.

Ukraine's proposal to Russia

The head of state noted that Russia's intensified aerial terror came immediately after the humanitarian operation in Oleshky.

"We proposed that Russia extend and expand the ceasefire that made it possible to evacuate people from Oleshky. But this is what we got in response: this kind of attack. New assaults, new strikes, new killings of our people," he said.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Russia bombed Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region on November 2, targeting a local school and a shelter. The airstrikes killed 33 people.

In addition, overnight on November 3, Russian forces struck power plants and substations in nine regions, as well as railway infrastructure, using drones and missiles.
