Ukraine unveils sea-based drone carrier launching interceptors

STING interceptor drones have begun taking off directly from the MV11 unmanned maritime platform on the open sea, according to the Wild Hornets company.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) has long been using STING interceptor drones, which are launched directly from Magura maritime drones on the open sea.
The MV11 maritime drone serves as the carrier for the interceptors: STING drones are housed in special protected compartments on board, and at the right moment, the compartment lids open, releasing the drones to intercept aerial targets.
The company emphasizes that this is yet another confirmation of the capabilities of the Hornet Vision CTRL system: the interceptor can be launched remotely from any location—a field, a forest, water, or any moving platform.

MV11 carrier
The MV11 can carry a payload of up to 2,200 kilograms and has an endurance of up to seven days. In the demonstrated configuration, the drone is equipped with 18 protected launch pods for interceptors; inside each pod, a STING is secured by four guide tubes.
In recent months, STING interceptor drones have become an increasingly prominent part of Ukraine's air defense system. In late August, they were displayed at the Independence Day unmanned systems parade alongside the navy's unmanned boats—the Sea Baby, Magura, and Sargan—and the MV11 maritime carrier made its first public appearance there as well.
At the same time, developers are expanding the line of interceptors: in early September, the Ukrainian Defense Forces received their first Alexa Spatium jet interceptor drone, designed to combat high-speed jet variants of the Shahed series.
