Ukraine has agreements with US President Donald Trump on air defense and weapons. These agreements should be implemented quickly, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In particular, Zelenskyy says that today he received a report from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on various issues.

"We are also working on the American direction: there are agreements with President Trump that we have to implement, to implement them as soon as possible. Ukraine is determined to maximize productivity," the head of state says.

Zelenskyy clarifies that the agreements concern air defense and a new arms deal with the United States.

He notes that Ukraine is ready to both buy the necessary weapons and export technological Ukrainian weapons to the United States.

"First of all, these are drones, which have proved to be very effective defenders of life in this war," the President says.

In addition, Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian government officials have significantly intensified work on interceptor” drones, and Zelenskyy is expected to sign additional contracts next week.

Another issue that the President discussed with Sybiha was the synchronization of sanctions. The President emphasizes that it is very important that the new EU sanctions package is also supported by those countries that are not members of the European Union.

"We will continue the process - a very important process - of synchronizing sanctions, and not only European ones, in our jurisdictions," Zelenskyy summarizes.

Trump intends to buy Ukraine's weapons

Zelenskyy recently said that Trump had expressed interest in Ukrainian combat drones for the US Army.

He adds that Ukraine, in turn, needs air defense systems, so both sides have interests in weapons.

In addition, the President has recently stated that he and Trump are discussing a deal that would involve the purchase of US weapons in exchange for the sale of Ukrainian drones.
