Ukraine to hold tech stakeholder meeting on defense and long-range strikes

The Ukrainian government will hold a technology stakeholder meeting in the coming days. Officials will discuss measures to protect Ukraine from Russian attacks and conduct long-range strikes against Russia, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
"We are preparing the Stakeholder meeting in the coming days, focusing specifically on the technological aspects of our defense and long-range operations," Zelenskyy said.
Umerov confirmed that the meeting will take place next week. He said it will address several critical issues:
- The development of missile programs, including ballistic, cruise, and air defense systems.
- Scaling up production of interceptor drones and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles.
- The state of mobile communications in Ukraine, including coverage, quality, and problem areas.
"The priority remains unchanged: protecting Ukrainian cities and expanding our long-range capabilities. These issues directly affect people’s lives and the outcome on the front lines," Umerov added.
Zelenskyy has praised the interceptor drone program. On the night of September 7, Ukrainian interceptor drones neutralized more than 150 Russian UAVs.
On September 5, Zelenskyy said Ukraine is actively developing long-range weapons, and the latest tests were successful. The next step will be the start of production.
Ukraine is developing its own missiles
Earlier reports revealed that Ukraine has begun serial production of long-range Flamingo missiles with a range of over 3,000 kilometers.
On August 31, the media reported that such a missile struck Russian targets in temporarily occupied Crimea, hitting a Russian border guard base.
It was later confirmed that the Ukrainian company Fire Point will, for the first time, produce missile fuel abroad. This company is also the developer of the Flamingo missiles.
