Ukraine to further reinforce Pokrovsk direction, Zelenskyy states

Ukrainian troops will be further reinforced in the Pokrovsk direction due to the escalation of the situation in this section of the front, according to the Telegram account of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Zelenskyy, today he received a report from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on the operational situation at the front, including the defense of Pokrovsk.
“We made a decision to further reinforce the direction,” the president added.
Situation in the Pokrovsk direction
The Russian army continues its advance towards Pokrovsk. Currently, this direction is the most challenging section of the front.
It was previously reported that Russian invaders are located 11 km from Pokrovsk.
According to the latest data from the General Staff, the situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains tense. Since the beginning of the day on August 26, the enemy has made 38 attempts to storm Ukrainian positions. Fighting continues in 14 locations.
