Ukraine will emerge from the financial gap in March this year, but the support of the United States is crucial, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"In March, we will come out of this financial gap, but the support of the United States is fundamentally important. Not in terms of the first quarter, but in terms of 2024," Shmyhal says.

The Prime Minister adds that the Ukrainian government is working together with the United States to "close these gaps."

US assistance to Ukraine

Currently, one of the most pressing issues in the US Congress is new funding for assistance to Ukraine.

Recently, the US Senate supported a bill for $95 billion for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. In particular, they want to allocate more than $60 billion to help our country.

For the document to come into force, it still needs to be supported by the US House of Representatives. Earlier, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson promised that after considering government funding, the lower house of Congress would return to the issue of aid to Ukraine.
