Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on his Twitter claimed that Ukraine will raise the issue of the threat posed by Russia to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the upcoming United Nations Security Council meeting. This comes after a missile strike targeted the Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi Cathedral in Odesa.

"Russia has been systematically destroying the Orthodox Church in Ukraine and its premises. The latest is today’s strike on Odesa’s Transfiguration (Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi - Ed.) Cathedral. We will raise this at the next UNSC meeting on Ukraine to make it clear: Russia is the only threat to Ukraine’s Orthodoxy," he wrote.

Odesa attack

During the night of Sunday, July 23, Russian invaders once again shelled Odesa, firing five types of missiles, totaling 20 missiles directed at the city.

The air defense forces managed to intercept half of the enemy's missiles. Nevertheless, the Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi Cathedral suffered damage during this attack.

Additionally, one person was killed, and 22 others were injured due to the Russian attack on Odesa. Further details are available in the RBC-Ukraine report.
