The Ukrainian Defense Forces are actively countering Russian weaponry, including guided aerial bombs. Over the past month, they have destroyed over 100 such bombs, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During a monthly meeting on military capabilities, Ukrainian intelligence briefed officials on the measures Russian forces are taking to enhance the effectiveness of their attack systems, particularly during large-scale missile and drone attacks.

Russian forces have already deployed 138 Shahed drones, most of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses.

"Ukrainian defenders are also taking effective steps to reduce the effectiveness of Russian guided aerial bombs. New systems designed to counter these bombs are currently being tested. From September to November, the Air Force of Ukraine destroyed up to 100 Russian bombs," the General Staff said.

The meeting also discussed the introduction of new weapons, including strike drones, interceptor drones, ground-based robotic systems, and combat modules mounted on robotic support platforms.

According to Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR), Russia plans to produce at least 120,000 guided aerial bombs in 2025. Moscow also intends to manufacture at least 70,000 drones, 30,000 of which will be copies of the Iranian Shahed drones.

In late October, it was reported that Ukraine would soon receive a new system to counter Russian guided aerial bombs. The system, described as a "hunter" for guided bombs, is being developed in collaboration with NATO.
