Ukraine terminates air communication agreement with Iran
Ukraine has suspended the air communication agreement with Iran. The decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers, according to Taras Melnychuk, the Cabinet representative in the Verkhovna Rada, on Telegram.
"The air communication agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been suspended," Melnychuk wrote.
He clarified that the agreement was signed by the two countries on July 9, 1993, in Tehran.
Aid for Russia from Iran
Iran is an ally of Russia in the full-scale war against Ukraine.
In particular, Tehran has provided the Russian forces with a large number of Shahed kamikaze drones, which Russia uses daily to terrorize the Ukrainian civilian population.
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also stated that Iran is holding "intensive negotiations" with Russia regarding the transfer of ballistic missiles.
