Ukraine is strengthening its cooperation with NVIDIA, a global leader in computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence. Following the launch of the AI Factory project, the parties are moving to the next stage, namely the creation of a sovereign artificial intelligence ecosystem, reports the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, on Telegram.
What is known
According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the cooperation will enable Ukraine to utilize NVIDIA's advanced technologies to build a sustainable and independent AI infrastructure focused on the needs of public administration and the defense sector.
The main directions of the new initiative include:
- support in creating a national infrastructure based on NVIDIA technologies
- development of educational programs and talent in the AI field
- launch of joint research and R&D projects
- development and support of the startup ecosystem
The first project within the partnership will be the development of Diia AI LLM, a sovereign language model trained on Ukrainian data, legislation, and public services. This model will serve as the foundation for all AI solutions within the Diia ecosystem: from an intelligent assistant on the portal to a future voice assistant in the mobile app.
Ukraine will gain access to NVIDIA technologies and expertise, enabling faster model training, cost optimization, and the creation of world-class competitive solutions.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation emphasizes that the partnership with NVIDIA is a key step toward forming a proactive, agentic state that uses artificial intelligence to deliver services to citizens more efficiently.
New digital services are planned to be launched in Ukraine as early as 2026. Nvidia became the first company in the world with a market capitalization exceeding $5 trillion.
