Ukraine strikes Russian territory with ATACMS for first time, source says
For the first time, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck Russian territory with ATACMS ballistic missiles. The target was successfully hit, an informed source within the Defense Forces said to RBC-Ukraine.
According to the source, the strike targeted a military facility near the city of Karachev in the Bryansk region.
"Indeed, for the first time, we used ATACMS to strike Russian territory. The strike was carried out against a facility in the Bryansk region, and it was successfully hit," the source reported.
Karachev is located near Bryansk, approximately 130 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Details of the strike near Karachev
On the night of November 19, the 67th Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense came under attack. Social media footage showed powerful fires at the site.
Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, reported that artillery munitions, including North Korean shells. In addition, the military facility contained guided aerial bombs, anti-aircraft missiles, and ammunition for multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
This military object had already been targeted before. In October, Ukrainian drones struck this location. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that such strikes create logistical problems for the enemy and reduce their offensive potential.
Today, the General Staff also reported a strike on a facility near Karachev but did not specify the weapon used, and no mention of ATACMS appeared in the official statement. After the strike, 12 secondary explosions and detonations were recorded at the ammunition depot.
"The destruction of munitions depots for the Russian occupying army to end Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine will continue," the Ukrainian General Staff commented.
