Ukraine strikes Russian radar equipment in Belgorod region
The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed the radar equipment of Russian troops in the Belgorod region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the afternoon of Thursday, January 16, units of the missile forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, struck at military targets in Russia's Belgorod region as part of long-range firepower.
The positions of the anti-aircraft missile division of the 568th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Russian army were attacked. The functioning of the 92H6 radar station of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system was recorded, which indicates a successful target hit.
Ukrainian defenders also successfully worked on the positions of the radar company of the radio engineering battalion of the 336th Radio Engineering Regiment of Russia.
“Damage to the equipment of this unit has been confirmed,” Ukraine's General Staff said.
Destruction of targets in Russia
Ukrainian soldiers conducted dozens of operations to attack military targets in Russia. For example, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine attacked many oil refineries and oil depots in Russia and the occupied territories of Ukraine. Some of them were attacked more than once.
Ukrainian Navy and the Security Service of Ukraine have also recently conducted a joint operation. The sailors attacked a storage facility for reconnaissance drones in Russia's Rostov region with Ukrainian Neptune missiles.
In addition, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that on the night of January 16, the Special Forces and other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine attacked the Rosneft oil depot in the Voronezh region of Russia. A large-scale fire broke out at the facility.
