The Defense Forces of Ukraine have struck ships and infrastructure facilities in the port of Kronstadt in Russia's Leningrad region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi.

The attack was first reported by Denys Shtilierman, co-owner and chief designer of Fire Point.

He noted that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is starting today.

"We really wanted to organize a tour to the cruiser Moskva for the guests, but unfortunately, we couldn't bring it here. So we had to sink two other ships right at the venue instead. I hope all SPIEF-2026 guests will breathe deeply and enjoy the views," he wrote on X.

Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on Russian ships.

"According to preliminary information, ships and infrastructure facilities in the port of Kronstadt were hit. The extent of the damage is being clarified," the statement said.

Madyar released a video showing the strike on the Russian corvette Boykiy. The vessel was in dry dock at the Kronstadt naval base, about 1,100 km from Ukraine.

JSC Kronstadt Marine Plant, targeted by Ukrainian drones, is the largest ship repair enterprise in Russia's Northwestern region.

Since April 2016, the plant has been part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation.

The Kronstadt Marine Plant has four dry docks. Each year, it services dozens of ships and support vessels of the Baltic Fleet and other fleets, as well as submarines.

Early in the morning, the governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, reported that 30 drones were shot down over the region.

Later, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Defense Forces struck several important targets on Russian territory that night, including the St. Petersburg oil terminal, facilities in Kronstadt, and an enterprise in the Tambov region.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that Ukrainian Defense Forces hit the oil terminal in St. Petersburg and several other key Russian facilities.
